With the growing addiction to screens and social media, human time and emotion have been replaced by the internet. We wanted to know whether the internet is really the richest source of happiness. But first, we wanted to measure happiness.
That’s when we conceived The Happiness Hack Experiment. We designed a wearable device that captures small electrical signals from the brain and transmits this data to a host application on a device or system, conceptualizing a custom application using EEG hardware’s API that mattes the data.
We also created a happiness scale that measures a range from zero to 100. Where zero represents complete calm and 100 represents a state of peak excitement. We wanted to get into the hearts of these kids and give them a sneak peek at what a mom’s hug can do for their well-being. We got a millennial to wear the tracker and observed his activity while he was surfing the internet.
